So much for easing back into the wedding scene! This wedding was without a doubt one of the biggest [and best] weddings I've had the privilege of designing. And the work went better than I could have ever imagined. As I stood back and looked at the ballroom all done up and decorated, I had that moment I always look forward to of "Wow! I really did this!" And we're back! That's right...WE! I had a baby! On January 6, 2012 I gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl, Blair Frances Laidlaw, and she's been filling our home with love and laughter for the past 4 months.

But now that she's getting older she's given me permission to share my passion for wedding flowers once again by designing gorgeous arrangements for weddings and events throughout the Southern California area. And what could be more fitting than to jump back into the swing of things with a wedding for my dear Uncle Mike and his beautiful bride Kim?

We had so much fun designing these gorgeous flowers for their yacht wedding in the Newport Harbor!  We love when it's peony season and were so excited that Kim shared our passion for these beautiful blooms, not to mention all the other fabulous flowers she loves!

It was definitely an incredible wedding to jump-start the wedding season and I can't wait to share more of my creations with you throughout the rest of this year. So welcome back to the blog! Enjoy!

{ GALA MAGAZINE :: Statement Bouquet }

Check it out! This month a bouquet I designed for my friend Lacey was featured in December's issue of GALA WEDDINGS! What a rewarding feeling to see your work featured on the newsstands. And of all the dozens of bouquets I've designed, this one is still in my top 3! What could be more perfect than a couple giant succulents paired with the delicate stems of a bright gloriosa? So beautiful!

I am soooo excited about these gorgeous photos that the fabulous Kamee June just shared with me. So excited I couldn't wait more than 24 hours to share them! Back in October I had the pleasure of finishing off my busy 2011 wedding season with my friends Briana & Phil's wedding at the Richard Nixon Library. It was such a pleasure to not only design their flowers, but to be a guest at this very special wedding.
